Multiplayer is laggy / single player great

Im trying to play this game at home on our local network and theres no option for a local LAN game even though the game description says "both online and local". So the game connects to gameloft servers and ends up being super laggy and mostly unplayable and our internet is fairly decent (50mbps/2mbps). This wouldve been a 5-star game except for this 1 feature which is a must have.

Please add a LAN-only option so we dont have to connect to gamelofts servers to play. Single player, this game is designed beautifully and plays very nicely. Even on lion.
