Tank Battles App Reviews

A couple people have mentioned it, but I want to be very clear about it: this game is unplayable without an external mouse. Yes, you can customize the keyboard layout, but it really doesnt help the situation at all. Its very strange because they give you buttons to turn the turret, but the gun still snaps back to wherever you have the mouse aimed. You would think they could have an all-keyboard control setup, but it is suprisingly missing. This game is frustrating and impossible to play with a trackpad. A simple option to remove mouse aiming would solve the problem and make this a fun game to play on the move (which is why I bought it) when you dont have room to set up an external mouse. That being said (and assuming you have an external mouse), the game itself is fun. The free-for-all tank battles are fun and remind me of a much better version of the old Atari 2600 game. If they would fix the controls, I would happily give the game 5 stars. EDIT: Taking away another star because I tried using my Xbox 360 controller and its even worse. The game claims gamepad support, but it definitely does not. I know theres nothing wrong with my controller or drivers because it works wonderfully on Portal 2.

I got this game because I was hoping it had the ability to play multiplayer on the same keyboard (as can be done with Pangea Softwares Nanosaur II). I found that if you want to do the local multiplayer, you need to add a usb game controller for each additional player. I didnt have one, and to get cheap ones is 10 dollars, which is more than the price of the game. The game itself is well done, but because it cant deliver the local multiplayer that I wanted without having to make more purchases, I give it 4 stars.

Hard to steer a tank using cartesian coordinates. Please provide a control option to use keys to rotate the tank and one to provide thrust (rather than move up/down/left/right which is just weird). A third option would be one key for left tread and one key for right tread. Press both to move forward, left tread to turn right, right tread to turn left. Do either (or both) of those and this game would be a lot easier to control.

I do enjoy the game quite a bit, however I dont like how the performance suffers due to overworked graphics. While its fun to play there are ocasional lags, and this is not one of the games that I have installed on my MBA… it resides on the iMac due to performance issues on the MBA and the fan blasting full speed overpowering even headphones. Speaking of gameplay, its pure fun, the sounds are nice, and even though I mentioned overworked graphics… I wish it didnt have performance issues so I could give it a full star review.

Black screen cant anything i want my money back or fix it

The game is caught in a loop I try to start a campaign and select the first and only option and it simply restarts asking me to select again. Totally worthless at this point.

Would love to play it… But I cant see anything. Will revise review if fixed… Thanks!

This game is actually funny, real entertainment, but it seriously should allow to use the ASDW keys to move the tank, since it could be easier to handle it. Sad thing about this, it wont happen. Games like this dont get updated. Stll, its worth for having fun.

Like it for a pass time game. but kinda boring for me. some like, some dont, some in between like and dont. I am in between.

DOES NOT WORK WITH YOSEMITE or higher OS’s. DO NOT BUY!!!!! Plus no OSX support given on their support page. Avoid!
